Many times when I have looked high and low for interesting quality fabrics I've come across some fantastic bits and pieces, for example, small articles of clothing with lace, hand crocheted doilies which are getting difficult to find now, vintage tea towels, buttons, beads, netting and ribbons. Some of these I have saved and dyed with tea leaves. I received a gift once tied with beautiful lace. I could hardly believe it and have just recently dyed it with tea with a gorgeous result. Now I am using all these bits and pieces to make some corsages and the creating and designing is giving me a lot of pleasure. I have a few boards on Pinterest and one is "how to ..........." If you go to Pinterest you will find different ways of creating corsages. They can be used on fascinators, on bags, on necklaces and of course on clothing. There are so many people wearing vintage outfits now. These corsages add to the vintage look. I think I will go on making them until my resources are exhausted. On the back of the corsages I have sewn brooch pins but now I have run out. Note that I have given the back of the corsage a padded panel to ensure stability otherwise when you use them they could flop like wilted flowers.
