A bit of history
During my life I sewed every necessary thing until I met a like-minded friend who introduced me to spinning and weaving. Then for a few years I spent far too many hours spinning, weaving, knitting and crocheting - mainly for practical reasons of course.
Now I have time to experiment with all fabric and fibre. I especially favour silks, embroidered satins, tapestry, antique fabrics - any fabrics of quality just waiting to be discovered in second hand stores or other destinations of discard. Add dyeing, hand painting, stencilling or any kind of torture it takes to create textures to achieve an interesting outcome.
